A multi-purpose protective material built around a water-repellent finish. On the MS-WP55 formulation, the finish gives the surface resistance to liquid penetration, for situations that need water and soil separation without full medical-grade barrier. At 60-110 gsm and 150-3,200 mm wide, in white or blue: the clean white suits consumer and household protection, while blue is easy to identify on site. Typical uses include floor protection during decoration and construction, disposable protective pads, and battery packing.

| Model | Composition | Technology | Grammage | Width | Colour / surface | Applications |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| MS-WP55 / CWP55-SF | 55% wood pulp + 45% polyester | Cross-laid; straight-laid; water repellent | 60-110 gsm | 150-3,200 mm | White / blue, plain | Floor protection, disposable protective pads, battery packing |
Figures above are MESON's standard available range. Specifications can be tailored to your equipment and application at the time of order.
MS-WP55-SF and CWP55-SF share the same composition, differing in lay-up; both receive a water-repellent finish.
Finishing lowers the wettability of the surface towards liquids, so water and water-based liquids do not readily penetrate - creating a water- and soil-barrier direction - while the material keeps the breathability and flexibility of a nonwoven.
Floor protection and protective pads often need large-format material to reduce seaming. Cross-laid construction holds a better MD/CD balance and sufficient dimensional stability at wide widths, so 3,200 mm can be held consistently.
The 60-110 gsm range covers everything from light protective pads to thicker protective material. White suits consumer and household contexts, while blue aids identification on tooling and construction sites. The material is hydroentangled with no chemical binder, so there is no odour and no adhesive residue.
The SF series centres on a water-repellent finish, and the family also offers:
MESON holds the management-system certifications and third-party test documentation listed below. Originals or copies can be provided for supplier audits, brand registration and import compliance.
Every batch ships with a Certificate of Analysis (COA) covering grammage, thickness, MD/CD tensile strength, absorbency, hydrostatic head and moisture content. Production records are traceable from raw-material intake through in-process inspection to finished-goods release, and retention samples can be held for project reference.

| Packaging | Rolls as standard (76 mm / 3 in paper core); can be converted to sheets, folded or interfolded formats on request. |
| Roll diameter / length | Diameter ≤ 1,200 mm (47 in); length 1,000–4,500 m per roll (depending on grammage and width). |
| Width (this model) | 150-3,200 mm (5.9-126 in) |
| Inner packaging | PE film plus board / card, protecting against moisture and edge contamination in transit. |
| Outer packaging | Woven bag or shrink film; palletising, stretch-wrapping and labelling available on request. |
| Container loading | Approx. 9–10 t per 40HQ (depending on grammage and roll diameter). |
| MOQ | Set by model, grammage and width. Smaller runs are possible on standard specifications and samples are not subject to MOQ — please confirm at inquiry. |
| Sampling | Samples are normally dispatched within a few working days (freight collect or to be agreed). |
| Lead time | Standard specifications ship quickly; custom grammage, width or finishing is scheduled against the order. Confirmed lead time is agreed when the order is placed. |
| Payment & trade terms | Conventional terms such as T/T; EXW / FOB / CIF can be confirmed at inquiry. |

Figures above reflect standard delivery parameters. Actual specification and scheduling are confirmed with the order. For special packaging, labelling or staged deliveries, please state your requirement at inquiry.
Water repellency is a surface property conferred by finishing and is stable under normal storage and use. Actual durability depends on the environment, the liquids contacted and mechanical abrasion - we recommend testing against your use case.
It can be used as a packing or padding material. Battery structures have specific requirements for insulation, flame retardancy and electrolyte resistance, which must be confirmed against your structure and finished-product testing; MESON can supply specification and test data to support validation.
Standard width is 150-3,200 mm. For large-format needs such as floor protection, the cross-laid CWP55-SF version is recommended for better dimensional stability at wide widths.
Both receive a water-repellent finish; they differ in grammage band and positioning. The surgical grade (MS-WP55-B2-JU) is 65-75 gsm and blue, for medical protection. This grade spans a wider 60-110 gsm and comes in white or blue, for floor protection, pads and packing.
MOQ and lead time depend on model, grammage and width. Standard specifications carry a lower MOQ and shorter lead time; custom colours or finishes are scheduled against the order. Samples are not subject to MOQ, or call +86 512 5258 8862.
Mainly in rolls with a 76 mm (3 in) paper core and a diameter of no more than 1,200 mm. Inner protection is PE film with board, outer packaging a woven bag or shrink film, with palletising, stretch-wrapping and labelling on request.
Yes. Samples are supplied free of charge for evaluating grammage, hand, texture and runnability, normally dispatched within a few working days. International transit time depends on destination, and freight can be collect or agreed separately.
MESON holds FSC CoC forest certification, ISO 9001 quality management and ISO 14001 environmental management, together with REACH, RoHS and DIN CERTCO compostability certification, flushability test reports and EN 13795 hydrostatic head data. A COA accompanies every batch.
Keep it in its original packaging in a cool, dry place away from direct light, and avoid heavy compression, moisture and sharp objects. Unopened and stored as described, we recommend using it within 12 months.
