A grade developed for flame-retardant protection, applying both a water-repellent and a flame-retardant finish to a cross-laid base. Cross-laid construction gives more balanced MD/CD strength and wide-web stability, suited to large-format cutting; the water-repellent finish provides a liquid barrier direction, and the flame-retardant finish reduces the material's tendency to burn when exposed to a flame source. At 80-100 gsm, 150-3,200 mm wide and blue, it is intended as a substrate for flame-retardant protective clothing and similar products.

| Model | Composition | Technology | Grammage | Width | Colour / surface | Applications |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| MS-CWP55-B2-ZR | 55% wood pulp + 45% polyester | Cross-laid; water repellent, flame retardant | 80-100 gsm | 150-3,200 mm | Blue / plain | Flame-retardant protective clothing |
Figures above are MESON's standard available range. Specifications can be tailored to your equipment and application at the time of order.
MS-CWP55-B2-ZR is characterised by 'one substrate, two functional finishes'.
Finishing reduces the material's tendency to burn when it meets a flame source, so it does not readily spread combustion - providing a flame-retardant basis for protective products. The specific classification must be verified against the test standard and finished structure you use.
Applied at the same time, it gives the surface low wettability, creating a barrier direction against water and water-based liquids and reducing penetration - so the product has some liquid resistance as well as flame retardancy.
The base is cross-laid: fibres cross each other for balanced MD and CD strength, better tear resistance and dimensional stability at wide widths, reaching 3,200 mm for large-format cutting and volume production. The 80-100 gsm band balances the thickness the flame-retardant finish requires against wearing flexibility.
This grade combines water repellency and flame retardancy, and the family also offers:
MESON holds the management-system certifications and third-party test documentation listed below. Originals or copies can be provided for supplier audits, brand registration and import compliance.
Every batch ships with a Certificate of Analysis (COA) covering grammage, thickness, MD/CD tensile strength, absorbency, hydrostatic head and moisture content. Production records are traceable from raw-material intake through in-process inspection to finished-goods release, and retention samples can be held for project reference.

Figures above reflect standard delivery parameters. Actual specification and scheduling are confirmed with the order. For special packaging, labelling or staged deliveries, please state your requirement at inquiry.
Flame-retardant performance must be determined against the specific test standard (for example vertical burn methods) and the finished structure; at the material level we provide a flame-retardant finish direction. Define your target standard and take samples for validation - MESON can supply specification and test data in support.
Yes. Alongside the flame-retardant finish it carries a water-repellent finish, giving a liquid barrier direction - suited to protective products that need both flame retardancy and some liquid resistance.
It can serve as the base material for flame-retardant protective clothing. Final protective performance is determined jointly by your downstream construction, sewing process and finished-product testing.
Standard grammage is 80-100 gsm and standard width 150-3,200 mm; if your target flame-retardant standard specifies a particular grammage, it can be discussed.
MOQ and lead time depend on model, grammage and width. Standard specifications carry a lower MOQ and shorter lead time; custom colours or finishes are scheduled against the order. Samples are not subject to MOQ, or call +86 512 5258 8862.
Mainly in rolls with a 76 mm (3 in) paper core and a diameter of no more than 1,200 mm. Inner protection is PE film with board, outer packaging a woven bag or shrink film, with palletising, stretch-wrapping and labelling on request.
Yes. Samples are supplied free of charge for evaluating grammage, hand, texture and runnability, normally dispatched within a few working days. International transit time depends on destination, and freight can be collect or agreed separately.
MESON holds FSC CoC forest certification, ISO 9001 quality management and ISO 14001 environmental management, together with REACH, RoHS and DIN CERTCO compostability certification, flushability test reports and EN 13795 hydrostatic head data. A COA accompanies every batch.
Keep it in its original packaging in a cool, dry place away from direct light, and avoid heavy compression, moisture and sharp objects. Unopened and stored as described, we recommend using it within 12 months.
Tell us your target application, required grammage and width, and we will come back with a material recommendation, samples and pricing — normally within 24 hours on business days (Mon–Fri, 8:30–16:30 CST / UTC+8).
