A water-repellent grade developed for medical and protective products. On the MS-WP55 formulation it receives through-dyeing in blue plus a water-repellent finish, giving the surface a barrier direction against liquid - for surgical gowns, triple-barrier surgical gowns and protective clothing. The grammage is focused at 65-75 gsm to balance barrier, breathability and wearing comfort, and widths reach 3,200 mm for wide cutting and volume production. MESON can supply EN 13795 hydrostatic head test data to support your protective-performance validation.

| Model | Composition | Technology | Grammage | Width | Colour / surface | Applications |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| MS-WP55-B2-JU / CWP55-B2-JU | 55% wood pulp + 45% polyester | Cross-laid; straight-laid; water repellent | 65-75 gsm | 150-3,200 mm | Blue / plain | Surgical gowns, triple-barrier surgical gowns, protective clothing |
Figures above are MESON's standard available range. Specifications can be tailored to your equipment and application at the time of order.
MS-WP55-B2-JU and CWP55-B2-JU share the same composition; the difference is the lay-up. Both receive a water-repellent finish and through-dyeing in blue.
Finishing gives the surface low wettability towards liquids, so water, alcohol-based liquids and body fluids do not penetrate rapidly on contact - creating a barrier direction. On surgical gowns and protective clothing this reduces liquid strike-through while the material remains breathable.
Protective products must balance barrier against breathability and comfort. 65-75 gsm is the band that balances barrier performance, flexibility and light wearing weight, while the 3,200 mm maximum width supports wide cutting and reduced seaming.
MS-WP55-B2-JU is straight-laid for high MD strength and a better cost; CWP55-B2-JU is cross-laid for a more balanced MD/CD profile and better dimensional stability on wide webs, suiting large cutting patterns. Both are hydroentangled with no chemical binder, and EN 13795 hydrostatic head test data can accompany them for client-side validation.
This grade is built around 'water repellent plus blue', and the family also offers:
MESON holds the management-system certifications and third-party test documentation listed below. Originals or copies can be provided for supplier audits, brand registration and import compliance.
Every batch ships with a Certificate of Analysis (COA) covering grammage, thickness, MD/CD tensile strength, absorbency, hydrostatic head and moisture content. Production records are traceable from raw-material intake through in-process inspection to finished-goods release, and retention samples can be held for project reference.

Figures above reflect standard delivery parameters. Actual specification and scheduling are confirmed with the order. For special packaging, labelling or staged deliveries, please state your requirement at inquiry.
It can serve as the base material for surgical gown products. We supply a water-repellent spunlace roll; the final protective performance of a surgical gown also depends on your downstream triple-barrier finishing, construction and finished-product validation. MESON can supply EN 13795 hydrostatic head test data to support that work.
Not exactly. Water repellency is the surface's low wettability towards water and water-based liquids. Triple barrier normally refers to combined water, oil and blood repellency, achieved by downstream finishing on top of the substrate. This grade provides the substrate-stage water-repellent finish.
It is the band commonly used for protective materials to balance barrier performance against wearing comfort: below it there is insufficient barrier margin, above it flexibility and breathability fall away. It can be fine-tuned to your finished-product performance target.
Yes. Standard width is 150-3,200 mm, and it can be set from your cutting dimensions and equipment; the 3,200 mm maximum helps reduce seaming.
MOQ and lead time depend on model, grammage and width. Standard specifications carry a lower MOQ and shorter lead time; custom colours or finishes are scheduled against the order. Samples are not subject to MOQ, or call +86 512 5258 8862.
Mainly in rolls with a 76 mm (3 in) paper core and a diameter of no more than 1,200 mm. Inner protection is PE film with board, outer packaging a woven bag or shrink film, with palletising, stretch-wrapping and labelling on request.
Yes. Samples are supplied free of charge for evaluating grammage, hand, texture and runnability, normally dispatched within a few working days. International transit time depends on destination, and freight can be collect or agreed separately.
MESON holds FSC CoC forest certification, ISO 9001 quality management and ISO 14001 environmental management, together with REACH, RoHS and DIN CERTCO compostability certification, flushability test reports and EN 13795 hydrostatic head data. A COA accompanies every batch.
Keep it in its original packaging in a cool, dry place away from direct light, and avoid heavy compression, moisture and sharp objects. Unopened and stored as described, we recommend using it within 12 months.
Tell us your target application, required grammage and width, and we will come back with a material recommendation, samples and pricing — normally within 24 hours on business days (Mon–Fri, 8:30–16:30 CST / UTC+8).
